Respected worldwide as the standards of professional excellence and quality within the manufacturing and service industries, APICS offers two certification programs, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). To date, nearly 90,000 professionals worldwide have earned their APICS CPIM designation, with nearly 7,500 operations and supply chain professionals having earned the APICS CSCP designation.

APICS Canadian District

APICS The Association for Operations Management is the global leader and premier source of the body of knowledge in operations management, including production, inventory, supply chain, materials management, purchasing, and logistics. Since 1957, individuals and companies have relied on APICS for its superior training, internationally recognized certifications, comprehensive resources, and worldwide network of accomplished industry professionals.

The APICS chapters in Canada have been bringing professional development and networking opportunities to professionals since 1961, when APICS chartered the Hamilton Chapter, its first chapter outside the United States.  During its first year, chapters were formed in Toronto, the Grand Valley area, in Montreal, London, and the Niagara region.  Since then, we have grown to include 19 professional chapters, and 13 student chapters, providing services to members and the community from coast to coast.

APICS The Ottawa Chapter

The Ottawa Chapter of APICS was formed in 1982 in order to accommodate the growing number of resource management professionals working and/or living in the Ottawa Region . Since its inception, the Ottawa Chapter has seen rapid growth in terms of educational offerings, professional development meeting attendance and membership.

The Ottawa Chapter is very active in the educational area. We provide several education opportunities for both students and professionals through an affiliation with Algonquin College and local area companies.

The Ottawa Chapter is also a sponsor of The Bachelor of Applied Business in e-Business Supply Chain Management (eSCM) program and the Materials and Operations Management program at Algonquin College and is committed to the development of capable, creative Supply Chain and Operations management professionals ready to embark on action-oriented, multi-dimensional careers in private and public business.
